  • HANS ISAAC (Creator)
    • Actor, Director, Producer and a member of Team CUCI, Hans has been involved in the Malaysian Film Industry for the past 15 years. Starting under the guidance of award winning director Shuhaimi Baba in the box-office film "Ringgit Kasorrga". Hans has worked in over 25 major films, such as "Persona Non Grata", "Buli", "Buli Balik", "Baik Punya Cilok", "City Sharks" and "Miski Jalan Lama" (currently in production). Hans would also not want to mention that he actually started out as a commercial talent and model for top local and international brands.

      After winning Best Supporting Actor at the Malaysian Film Festival for the film 'Buli Balik', Hans made his directorial debut in January 2007 with the hit film CUCI. The overwhelming success at the box office also carried forward at the 2008 Malaysian Film Festival with Hans taking home the awards for Best New Director and Best Screenplay. Hans is also no stranger to theatre, working under the late Krishen Jit & Joe Hasham in Lloyd Fernando's "Scorpion Orchid" and continuing with Joe Hasham in "Fat Girls Revenge". It has been over 10 years since Hans made his presence on stage and now for the first time he challenges himself with CUCI the Musical.

  • AFDLIN SHAUKI
    • A member of Team Cuci, Afdlin has been working as an actor, director and presenter for TV and Film. As a film actor, his local debut was as part of the supporting cast for Pesona Pictures' "Mimpi Moon", which was followed by his role as the "Interpreter" in the Hollywood movie "Anna and the King". He played his first romantic lead in Serangkai Filem's "Soal Hati", and was honoured with a Best Actor award for his portrayal of "Daniel" at the Anugerah Skrin Panca Delima Awards, 2000. He has since filmed "Soalnya Siapa?", a continuation of the story. His screen debut as a writer and director, as well as lead actor, manifested in "Buli". During the 2004 Malaysian Film Festival he was awarded Most Promising New Director, Best Screenplay and Best Original Story for this work. Other movies since then include "Gila-Gila Pengantin Remaja", "Pontianak", "Biar Betul", "Baik Punya Cilok", and "Buli Balik". Recently, he directed as well as acted in a Thai film, Brave and at the 22nd Malaysia Film Festival, Afdlin won Best Actor fro his role in "Papadom".

  • AWIE
    • As a member of Team CUCI, Awie started his music career in 1989, fronting the Malaysian rock group "Wings". After his departure from Wings he embarked on a solo career and recorded four albums - 'Satu', 'Otak','Awie Unplugged', 'Awie' And 'Santai'. He began his acting career in 1992 with the film "Pemburu Bayang". Other locally successful films followed, the more prominent ones being "Bara" and the "Sembilu" series. His other acting credits include, "Baik Punya Cilok", "Diva Popular", "Sumolah", "Cuci", "Duyung" & "Antoo Fighter".

  • VANIDA IMRAN
    • Vanida has been in the entertainment industry for the past 15 years acting in Films, Television and Theatre. She has received numerous nominations as well as walking away with awards like Best Actress in a Leading Role - "The Red Kebaya" at 20th Malaysian Film Festival 2007. Best Film Actress "The Red Kebaya" - Anugerah Skrin 2007 and Best Film Actress "Akhirat"- Oskar PPFM 2008. For the opening of the new Istana Budaya Vanida was the leading lady in the musical 'Keris Sang Puteri' (1999) which required her to sing no less than 8 songs 'live' accompanied by an orchestra. Other musicals that have Vanida belting out 'live' numbers include 'Tun Perak' (2000), 'Lantai T. Pinkie' (Both 2000 & 2006) and 'Wangi Jadi Saksi' (2006).

  • JACLYN VICTOR
    • Team Cuci welcomes Jac for Season 2 of CTM, in the role of Farah. Jac's debut album 'Gemilang' sold more than 20,000 copies nationwide since its launch, winning her multiple top-notch awards including the prestigious "Best Pop Album" & "Album of the Year" awards in Anugerah Industri Muzik 2005. Her 2nd album 'Inilah Jac' launched in August 2006 further reaffirmed Jac's capability of powerful vocal performance and uplifted her status in the industry as a 'powerhouse' entertainer, winning her the "Best Female Vocal Performance in an Album" award in the Anugerah Industri Muzik 2006 & awarded as the IKON of Malaysia in 2007. And in 2009 she was awarded the 'Power Vocal Award' at the 2009 Shout Awards and was awarded the 'Most Promising Actress' for her role in Yasmin Ahmad's 'Talentime' at the 22nd Filem Festival Malaysia.

  • REHMAN RASHID
    • Writer, journalist and author of A Malaysian Journey, a book described as "a modern Malaysian classic", Rehman last appeared onstage as the Captain in the Selangor Philharmonic Society's acclaimed 1999 production f The Sound of Music, followed by Saidah Rastam's Songs of Love and War with Adibah Noor, Yasmin Yusuff and Chacko Vadketh.

  • DATO' ZAHIM ALBAKRI (Director)
    • An award-winning actor and theatre director, Zahim Albakri is the artistic director/executive producer of Dramalab and a founding member of Instant Café Theatre. He has appeared in a number of acclaimed television, theatre and film productions. Zahim received the Best Actor award at Anugerah Skrin 1999 for his role in the TV drama "Odissi" and at the 2004 Boh Cameronian Arts Awards he received the Best Solo Performance award for his work in "The Smell of Language".

      For theatre, he has directed "Tarap Man", "P.Ramlee The Musical", "Puteri Gunung Ledang The Musical", "Gold Rain And Hailstones", "Separation 40", "The Storyteller", "A Flight Delayed" and "Spilt Gravy On Rice". His latest directorial endeavour was in Singapore for Sing Dollar! The Musical Comedy. He has received the Best Director award at Boh Cameronian Arts Awards 2002 and 2005, and in 2006 and 2007 with co-director Adlin Aman Ramlie for "Puteri Gunung Ledang The Musical" and "P.Ramlee The Musical" respectively. He also received the Anugerah Seni Negara (National Arts Award) for Theatre Directing in 2006. His latest venture is as Artistic Director of a new Arts Centre, PJ Live Arts.

  • HARITH ISKANDER (Director/Book Writer)
    • Harith Iskander is generally acknowledged Malaysia's premier stand-up comedian. For the past 15 years, he has performed 'live' at hundreds of shows and entertained thousands of Malaysians and foreigners with his unique and original material. This is not Harith's first foray into the Malaysian theatre scene. As director and actor in the Cameronian award-winning "FROGWAY - THE MUSICAL" where he worked with Malaysian Jazz giant, Michael Veerapan.

      Harith has also played the lead in two Actors Studio productions; 'PHILIDELPHIA HERE I COME' and 'ZOO STORY'. He was also the part of Henry Higgins in the Paul Loosely directed musical, "PYGMALION" at the KLPAC. Harith is also an accomplished, award winning Film Director, Actor and Writer. His most recent production (As writer/Actor/Director) being the sketch comedy programme "TEN TEN TEN" on Astro Warna. He also co-stars with Singapore's most famous export, Phua Chu Kang (Gurmit Singh), in the latest two seasons of "PHUA CHU KANG Sdn. Bhd." - NTV7. Harith can also be seen as an actor on the big screen in films such as the late Yasmin Ahmad's "TALENTIME", "GUBRA" and 'SEPET' as well as Afdlin Shauki's "BAIK PUNYA CILOK" and "BULI BALIK".

  • PACAI @ DR SYED AHMAD FAIZAL AL-ATTAS (Lyricist/Composer)
    • Pacai's rise to stardom began at the tender age of 17 when his band "Ekamatra" became an overnight Malaysian sensation in 1989 with it's triple-platinum sole album "Satu Tekanan Irama" earning him recognition in the music industry. Over the span of his 17-year career, Pacai has composed, arranged and produced countless songs and albums for various entertainers; having collaborated and performed with almost every artiste in Malaysia along with many internationally acclaimed performers and musicians of various genres.

  • DOUGLAS LIM (Lyricist/Composer /Book Writer)
    • Douglas' first TV show was the surprise-hit sitcom "Kopitiam", where he also wrote the theme tune and overall for the sitcom. He also acted in a few other various TV shows namely, "Getting Together", "Sketches", "Homecoming", "Table for Two", "Realti" and "Ghost". Currently he can be seen on Astro Warna's "Spontan" and "Ten-Ten-Ten". His film credits include "Hati Malaya 1957", "Los & Faun" and "My Spy". His theatre credits include "Savages", "Cindarella Panto", "Broken Bridges", "Aladdin Panto", "Tunku - the Musical", "Kam in your Face", "Broadway Parodies Lah" and "P.Ramlee - the Musical". 3 years ago, Douglas Lim decided to try stand-up comedy and has thus far done numerous corporate shows and joined Harith Iskander on his Nationwide Comedy tour.

  • PAT IBRAHIM (Choreographer)
    • TAUFIK IBRAHIM aka PAT IBRAHIM has worked in the Performing Arts for more than 20 years. being inspired by the movie “Flashdance”, a choice to pursue a career in the Performing Arts was taken by moving to Kuala Lumpur from Johor Bahru. Industry experience is wide-ranging and varied, from performing, choreographing, conceptualizing and designing, to directing and producing for stage, television and recording. Most recently, created a new style of dance which infuses traditional Malaysian dance motifs with western pop style called Neo-Traditional.

  • RAJA MALIQ (Production Designer)
    • His design work in theatre began in 1996 when Zahim Albakri invited him to design the costumes for the sell-out production of The Storyteller. He has since designed costumes and sets for numerous theatre productions in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Tokyo. He won Best Set Designer Award for PGL The Musical in the 2006 Cameronian Arts Awards and the Anugerah Seni Negara (National Arts Award) for Set Design. In 2008, he was given the Best Set Design award at the 6th Boh Cameronian Awards for P.Ramlee The Musical Season 1.

  • EE CHEE WEI (Lighting Designer)
    • Ee Chee Wei's passion for the arts started when he was 18 years old. He graduated with a Diploma in Drama from Malaysia Institute of Art. Since then, he has been actively involved in the theatre scene as a Lighting Designer. Recently, he was involved in Puteri Gunung Ledang The Musical as the Associate Lighting Designer for two seasons that had been performed so far. Locally, he has lit KL Music Festival 2007 0pening, Hua Zhong 2007 Award Ceremony, Perfect Circle (2006 & 2007), Siddhartha The Musical - 2007 Jakarta Season, Full of Jit (2007), The Coffin is Too Big For The Hole (2007), In Between Things (2006), Miss Astro Chinese Pageant (2006), Perfect Circle (2006), Monkey Business (2005), Sounds of The Human World 2005 at Istana Budaya, I have Dreamed (2004) and Malaysia's Tari Festival (2000 & 2002 Season) Prince Siddhartha(2008 &2009).

      To add more colour to his CV, he has lit sold-out seasons from Singapore, UK, Ireland, Japan , New Zealand and U.S. They include Gamarjobat , Men In Tutus , Roman Tam & The 3 Bears (2005), Dr. Bunhead (2005), Ignatius Trail (2005), D' Arranged Marriage, From India with Love (2005), Alone It Stands (2005), Stones in His Pockets (2004), Pluck (2004), Menopause The Musical (2004). Chee Wei is honored to be awarded the Anugerah Bakat Muda (Penata Cahaya Teater) by The Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage Malaysia.

  • DOMINIQUE DEVORSINE (Costume Designer)
    • Dominique a native of New Caledonia, has designed costumes for an array of theatre productions including Dama Orchestra's production of "Butterfly Lovers" and "Date with Spring". Klpac's productions for "Passion", "Tunku", Actors Studios' for "Sybil", "M the Opera" and many more. At the 2004 BOH Cameronian Arts Awards, Dominique won best costume designer in theater category for "Five Letters from an Eastern Empire" produced by Semunda. In 2005 her design for "Electronic City" also produced by Semunda earned her another nomination. In 2008 she had 3 nominations and won best costume designer in Musical Theatre for "Ismail" produced by KLPAC and in the Theater category for "Animal Farm" produced by Pentas Project. She presently owns a costume rental shop at her atelier located in the heart of Sri Hartamas.
